Stone City Depot—CA. 1912

The Colorado-Kansas railroad was built northwest from Pueblo to Stone City. It was completed in 1909. Turkey Creek sandstone was quarried near here and hauled to the city to be used in the County Courthouse and other Pueblo buildings. The site of the quarry and the depot is now a part of Fort Carson.
